Sherylin Choy Pei Zhen

Sherylin Choy is an associate whose practice spans corporate restructuring and insolvency, shareholders’ disputes, commercial litigation, and arbitration.

She has advised companies and creditors in schemes of arrangement, judicial management, winding-up, and bankruptcy matters. She also acts for liquidators in asset recovery and advises on reviving abandoned projects.

Sherylin has also advised directors-cum-shareholders on exits through winding-up or negotiated settlements. She is currently opposing an ad hoc arbitration seated in Malaysia and has experience with related court proceedings, including enforcement and pre-arbitral applications.

She holds a law degree from Multimedia University and was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2023. She also holds a Diploma in International Arbitration.

Team Members

  • Advised and facilitated the acquisition of 50% equity interest in a private limited company amid a shareholder deadlock, resulting in a full exit of one shareholder and business continuity for the remaining party.
  • Acted for a liquidator in a recovery of unsold condominium units valued at approximately RM6 million.
  • Represented the liquidator of a property development company in formulating a scheme of arrangement to revive an abandoned project involving more than 2,000 condominium units across six blocks.
  • Acted for the liquidator of a developer company in defending a fraud claim brought by unsecured creditors, including preparing affidavit evidence and resisting summary judgment.
