Aqila Zulaiqha Zulkifli is a Principal Associate in Thomas Philip. She holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia and was admitted as Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2019.
Aqila is experienced in a wide array of general civil litigation, arbitration, and corporate drafting. Her practice focused primarily in the area of construction, corporate and commercial disputes.
In the course of her practice, Aqila has led numerous complex matters, including but not limited to fraud claims involving in-depth fact-finding exercises, shareholder oppression actions, and high-stakes construction disputes.

- Led a civil action on behalf of a company against its directors and other parties for breaches of fiduciary duties, conspiracy, and dishonest assistance, successfully securing a judgment sum of RM44 million.
- Managed multiple concurrent civil actions against company directors for fraudulent trading, collectively valued at approximately RM67 million.
- Provided key legal assistance in the acquisition of solar power plants.
- Acted for 10 defendants in an oppression action and successfully negotiated the settlement of the same. Further assisted the settlement and subsequent transfer of the shares to a third party.
